Hi. This is my first post and my question might be obvious or really simple, but I just need to clarify things with experts.

I live in China and am creating my web site with Yahoo Site Builder. I bought Yahoo Web Hosting, but my site is blocked in China. Wrote to Yahoo - they said it's a "collateral block", it's the Chinese government's fault, Yahoo can do nothing about it, and I should write to the Internet Society of China and register or contact my ISP. That's not acceptable.

I can use an anonymous proxy server, but that's not a solution I want to continually use.

I will change my web host and transfer my domain, but would like to continue using Yahoo Site Builder (YSB), as it is easy for a novice like me.

If I use YSB and "publish" my site within that software, then will it still work on a new web host?

I've searched on the Internet for an answer, but I'm still really not so sure. Thanks for any help.

no, it will not work if you do that. not that it is a good sitebuilder anyway.

Anyone can download yahoo site builder for free and can use it to design a site without so much as a Yahoo ID. User requires a Yahoo Web hosting account to publish the site.

yes but yhtml is SO bad you MUST use it for EVERYTHING or nothing will work. they also watermark the script (you can remove it on the bottom line). I would reccemend a different wyswyg, yahoos is a bad toy.

I would recommend you build your site using the free software at nvu.com. You can even get a free template and edit it to suit your needs. You can even get free stock photos to use on your site from a place like http://www.sxc.hu . Good luck!

I will have to transfer my domain and use a new site builder. Will have a look at nvu.com and other sites to see what suits me best. It's no big deal, I can learn how to use new software again.

I had also wrote to Yahoo, asking the same question, and they have finally replied and said the same thing.
