I purchased a new reseller with cpanel , now i want to shift my site on my reseller from my current hosting company ,



Both servers are using cpanel

I have taken a full backupof my site , but i dont know how i can upload or restore on my reseller



any help ?

You will need to upload the backupfile to your server and login to WHM. Under the backup menu you will see an option for "Restore a Full Backup/cpmove file". Just follow the instructions.

Or, if your other site is still up and running. You can do a cPanel to cPanel move. Under the Transfer menu, choose "Copy an account from another server" and follow the instructions.

These options all depend on the level of access your host gives you.

Upload your backup to an account you have created from WHM on your new reseller. You could also leave it on the old server in a directory and contact your new reseller host to restore the account by downloading it from the old server if the file(s) are large. Not forgetting you could last of all give your new reseller login details for your old accounts and they will do the rest.

The best one is "Full Backups - Download a home directory Backup". But, it will require ROOT access. If you have just a reseller a/c, then you'll need to send this FULL backup to your reseller provider to restore it for you.

The FULL backup have ALL the components that the other two types of incremental backups doesn't have. These components include: MySQL username/passwords, SSL Certs, Subdomains, Addon domains, Additional mailboxes and lot more.

However, its wiser to take all three backups because if you do not have a handy access to ROOT login, then the other two types of incremental backups can restore the site to atleast a browsable state.
