has anyone tried dreamhost?
i heard their pretty good but i want to hear your guys's opinions
im looking for a good a cheap host

I've heard good things about them and they seem to be a reliable host.

Based on what I read overall they seemed fairly good for a budget host.

Again, based on what I read, common problems were support taking too much time to reply to tickets, mysql being slow, and their their resources (CPU time) usage policy taking people by surprise. Note that virtually all hosts will have a limit to how much server resources you can use with your site.

Most of the problems Dan stated are common with budget hosts, keep that in mind when shopping around.

from those reviews, it looks like a hit or miss type host

Friend is hosting with them.. They are good.. He tells me..

I don't recommends big hosting companies !
They don't give you cPanel !

Always check the TOS and agreement before signing up. If there are two many limits on the features you will be using, you may find some problems in the future. Always send an email to the host about the site you want to host and the amount of traffic you expect and what will be the charges of extra resources if any you will be using in the future, etc.?

I did not like them. I had some problems and i switch the host provider.
