After getting burned by two hosts I spent a few months on another forum endlessly searching for a host. It was insane. I figured that a low price is useless if no one can see your website because it's down all the time anyway.

I first tested pair by sending them a full email with complicated questions, just a test to see what kind of response I would get. I recieved an in-depth response in a few hours. I was impressed, but most places have a great sales staff and lousy support but the only way I would know for sure is if I signed up.

So I signed up for their just above basic package and a few months later upgraded to a higher package. I have been with them for a year and am about to sign up for another. It will cost over $300 for the year but I host multiple websites with one account and my websites actually load when I visit them. When I email people about exchanging links, one of the first things they always say is, "your website loads really fast." Alexa seems to agree.

I don't get paid anything for saying this and have no desire to promote webhosts on any website I make. I don't even know if pair has a referrel program. I just thought I would share my experience since I know that finding a good webhost can be hell.

Just to note, I don't think pair is perfect, I do wish their billing system was setup a little better. It doesn't show any records of how much you paid and when your next bill is due. The information is in your monthly email statement, but I can never keep track of my email. They also use newsgroups instead of forums. I just prefer forums. Although the newsgroups are virtually free of spam and you typically get really good responses.

Wonderful, detailed review! BTW, as I'm sure you know, it's not a surprise to hear that Pair is a quality provider.
