I'm wondering if there's a site builder available, that I can put in the skel-directory thing, so by default every user's website comes with it on signup.

It would need to consist of a few templates, and a really simple WYSIWYG editor. Basically, a nice, tacky "instant-site" solution for non-webdesigning clients.

Budget is tight, so free scripts would be preferable - any ideas?

Hmmm, can't find anything (free anyway) that looks worth it. Even just a template or two!

it is a hosting company that have tools, applications, template and everything included when you get the account with them...

I use them for 5 years now > top notch reliability and support.
not sure if you can host their application elsewhere though...

Hi Harvey,

Most probably the ideal solution is white label version of a WYSIWYG editor but usually it requires a separate installation and won't fit with your budget. You could check the open source CMSs at http://www.cmsmatrix.org/

I don't know of any free site builders, and most paid ones require a seperate database for users and therefore cannot be just "dropped" into the users home directory.

We use RVSiteBuilder , cant remember the address to get it but if you google it im sure you can find it. It's only $3 a month and allows you to use the sitebuilder through the cPanel. The best part is that your resellers can also use it for their clients!

Yes, everyone seems to liek it ok. I have played withi it a little and it was very easy to figure out and work with.

The insallation was a breeze, and it installs in cPanel. So it is accessable through everyones cPanel. If you offer resellers, your reseller clients will have it available for their clients too!

Please Note; you MUST have root access to install it.
