i have a few domains that i want to develop into websites...lacking funds i would like to start of with a free webhost. that will allow me to check wich of my domains takes off and recieves trafic so i can upgrade to pro hosting based on need.

i heard that free host involves ads from hostsite...can anyone recommend a free hosting service ?
limited space is ok but would like to have support and no ads if possible.

i'm also looking for help with webdesign and needs someone to help me with this.
if you or someone you know would like to contribute your time i will be willing to shere revenues from the developed websites.

would appriciate your comments and recomendations.

HotDot, free hosting is just that. You will probably have to deal ads on your site and generally slower servers. If you have several domain name I would check for a hosting company that would be willing to work with you and perhaps allow you to host all of your domains. Most hosting company you can get hosting for under $10/month.

I would recommend freewebs (no ads), but there you can't host a domain. There are plenty of really cheap hosts out there (under $2/month). Their services are not great, but better than anything free (most free hosts don't allow domain hosting). Do a search on http://findmyhosting.com/. Good luck.

Thanks for the inpot.. 10$ a month dosn't do it for me... i have over a 100 domains...eventualy like to develop all or most of them into websites (great URL's) so paying 10$ a month for each domain would end my project verry fast...
thats wye i like to use free hosting first and take one domain at a time to develop (will start with the ones with the most trafic potential first. for this i will also need a host with statistics to let me know how many visitors i'm actualy getting so i can pick the better domain to start developing... am i making sense ?

What you need is a small reseller account. www.resellerzoom.com. A budget Two plan - 5000 MB storage, 70 GB bandwith, Host up to 125 domains 12.95 per month. You get WHM, so you can manage each domain easily. You get cPanel for each domain you have.

It is ok to use a free hosting/web space depending on your site's need. Let say you will just need for your personal site that will not consume a big disk space.
There are a lot of free web space available some with banners/link, some in exchange for post and others are free no strings attached.
Good luck('',)

I checked www.resellerzoom.com and there offer looks promising...i'm not looking for a free ride and don't mind spending a few bucks for the right plan and it looks like i will go with them. i also came across a sopprising discovery wile compering plans yesterday...
after checking out www.resellerzoom.com i wanted to compere with my plan at GoDaddy....
Sinse i didn't remember my exsisting plan details i went to my purchase reciept and found out i paid $9.95 PLUS $2.99 Each mounth for the delux plan they have...sounds too much...yap but at the time of purchase i had little time to shoop around.
Now after finding out exactly what they give me i wanted to find out if they had a plan more like the one offered by www.resellerzoom.com, when i checked their webhosting plan page i found out they charge $6.95 for the same plan i have now !!! meening they are over charging me every mounth !!!. now keep in mind, when i purchesed the plan i wanted to pay on a mounthly basis and the rep i spoke with conviced me (wasn't that hard) to pay for the whole year and that i can leave the plan anytime i want and get the partial refund for the unused months. thats fair but they forgot to mentian they wouldn't be adjusting the price they charge me every month if they redused theire prices...

After talking to them yesterday i had an adjustment made, they akgnoleged rigth away i was right and corrected the price acordinaly and for that i have no complains, the only thing that bothers me is that they sould be adjusting the charge automaticaly and not take advantage of the fact that i gave them authurisation to charge my card in advance for thae year...by paying in advance for the year i help theire cash flow and help them plan ahead and they sould treat a customer like me atleast the same like a new customer that is able to come in out of the blue and pay $6.95 and keep on charging me $9.95 !!! (in my opinon they shlold treat me eaven better based on the fact i am an existing customer that they should like to keep...

sorry if this is to ling but i wanted to give you all the facts so you can judge for yourself....so if any of you have an account with GoDaddy and are paying yearly ...i suggest you check what you are being charged.

Hope that was helpfull.

Strangely, I'm going to suggest you use paid hosting despite the fact I own a free webhost...

As suggested above, get a reseller package. Then you can be in control of all of your domains from one place, and not have to worry about banners or advertisements.

Good luck
