Hello,

I would like to host a commercial site, but i am looking for a *small* hosting company, because i know they are more dedicated supporting their customers, also i would like instant activation and one of these control panels : cpanel, plesk or direct admin. If you know a reliable host wich meats this specifications please share

Thanks in advance.

Hmmm...small doesn't really mean better support. I used to have the same thinking, then I realized the bigger hosts always provided more value for money IMO AND had 24 hours support. But of course this doesn't apply to all the "big budget" hosts. You gotta do your research.

Small hosts CAN sometimes provide better support then the big guys, because to a smaller compnay your not just another customer and you tend to get more personal attention.

But then again, some small hosts are nothing more then fly by night companies that may not be around in a few months. You've got to be carefull and do your research.

gigis, there are many hosting companys that meet your needs, although it would help if you were a little more specific. What are your space and bandwidth requirements? Do you require SSL? What is your budget?

You can take a look around findmyhosting.com to get a good list of hosts to start with.

Rediculous that my previous post was deleted. If Gigis wants to find a host, are we not permitted to point him to one? Understandibly if we are trying to convince him to use our services, and we've already posted our advertisement in this section, then it will be deleted....still kind of dumb...but understandable.

Gigis, you have both pm and email turned off, so I can't tell you about what I can do for you, aside from suggesting that you check out some of the topics posted in this forum to get an idea as to who offers hosting. There's lot's of options out there....but you should look for someone who has a XX-day guarantee, positive feedback, and all the options you want. Don't settle for a host or package that doesn't meet your exact requirements....whether they are big or small....check out: mysignaturebelow.com

perhaps you wouldn't find it so 'rediculous' if you've read the rules before posting. Self promotion is not allowed in any of the forums here. If you can't help somebody without trying to get something in return, then your not being very helpfull at all.

The type of service you're going to get varies from person to person, you an never be certain. But usualy if it's a reputable company and they're are good feedbacks from customers on forums and such it's likely that they will satisfy your needs.

Here are some web host directories that might be of help:

I once used a small buisness for my hosting, I left them after one week.
bihira.com, cheapest you will find, but it is SO SLOW, and if you complain they ban you.

his excuse? "the server load is never above 4, that is a good load for the server you are on. I dont oversell"

it was a single core processor (dual core was the almost out) when I was with them.

here is a support topic there:
http://www.bihira.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=349
26.65 Server Load
20% memory used
76.09% swap used

Every thing is so slow, I can barely stand it. It just all of a sudden slowed down about 5-10 minutes ago.

Are you looking for shared or dedicated hosting?

you could try searching for hosting at webhostingtalk.com. Tons of reviews over there and useful information you could benefit from. Just be sure not to fall for the classic act of overselling and you'll be fine
