Need a reliable host for dedicated since HostGator sings a different tune when some of your sites start to generate alot of traffic. I now have to move over 50 sites.

Not hearing good things about IPOWER either.

Irritated with unreliable hosts. Some of them remind of used car salesmen.

I would reccomend layeredtech.com for dedicated servers.

I got quite a big website .. http://www.tab-archive.com it has a big database and does about 2000-3000 uniques a day ... host gator said it was using more than the 3% CPU on a shared planned and moved me to a semi dedicated server for a week for me to decide what I wanted to do, that semi dedicated server was down for 5 days of that week, and for 1 day the database was disabled, so out of that 7 days, 6 of them my site was down and lost revenue haha.

Needless to say, i took that site away from them, however do still have a few sites lodged with them on an old reseller account i dont use anymore ... their support is very qucik to answer, though you do have to make your emails so so simple for them not to ask you to repeat everything you just told them!

Good and bad points, Tab-Archive had too many bad points. Since then I bought my own server, but still... hassle.

What are they doing now that you're getting traffic?... surely if you have a server with them they would endevor to keep you...

They "Suddenly" want to move me to dedicated. This request happens the day after I request an SSL Certificate on the site. Funny how it was never brought up before.

$200 a month for a small dedicated plan is more than I am willing to pay at the moment.

my bandwidth has not even exceeded my current plan but they claim I am using too many resources. That is the lame excuse I got.

im with lunarpages, my site is running slow for me and some of my other clients. I am currently in the 3-way "its their fault, not ours" bounce game.

but I shouldnt be complaining, its cheap and what I am paying for.

the best datacenter I've been with in my hosting experience is superbservers.net, we've actually become resellers with them. We've calculated transfer rates of upto 10,000 kb/sec on large file transfers and our servers didn't flinch even once.
