A lot of hosting plans offer you to host unlimited sites on the same plan, but are their any drawbacks to doing this? I'm wondering if this will affect anything SEO-wise or performance-wise.

As far as I know the addition domains on the account are considered subdomains. I'm wondering if I should be getting seperate hosting accounts for each of my sites.

if you can get dns for each of your domains i would go for the hosting with unlimted sites. if you cant get dns dont go with them!

Purchasing separate web hosting for each domain name would not be a good choice unless you are looking to put your eggs to unique baskets.

It's a known myth in SEO that putting your web sites o different /C classes IP would boost your search engine rating. It will not boost your rating in any way.

So stick with your web hosting or you can purchase a reseller account and manage each of your domain names separately, if you prefer.

What you need to check with a host that allows more than one domain to be hosted on one hosting plan, is if a full array of services are available for each domain. Don't assume that email, statistics, CGI bin, etc. are available for each domain -- ask them before purchasing hosting.

Thanks for the info everyone. I already have hosting and I am very pleased with them. I recently started creating websites so I was sure if I should host them seperately or not.

I can have services for each domain I add (email, CGI bin). As for stats, I can have seperate stats for each subdomain, as well as the main site. So I guess I"m ok then.
