The GoDaddy service is amazing! I have used them for about a year now and they have great low-priced hosting and domains and a very good uptime with plenty of bandwidth.

The servers are stable, but they don't allow hardly any tweaking. For example, mod_rewrite you can forget about. I also found their webmaster interface to be very newbie. If you are a newbie without a need for extras, they can't be beat. However, if you need more control try spry.com. I have used their shared and vps servers. I find them to be excellent.

I personally don't have any experience with godaddy but I have heard few bad reviews about them. I've also heard that they suspend the accounts of those clients who are using lots of cpu loads. Godaddy is truly an overselling host so be carefull while choosing your new host and I think its better to opt for a reliable host instead of overselling host.

This is from their newsletter of May 2.

cPanel is the preferred control panel and especially so for the inexperienced. Make sure you get it with your hosting plan.
---------------------------------------------------------

Control panel add-ons mean powerful control for Dedicated and Virtual Dedicated hosting customers

Add a new level of security and stability to your dedicated or virtual dedicated server today with Simple Control Panel or cPanel. The latest version of Simple Control Panel adds both hardware and software firewall support as well as improved SSL certificate validation, which will reduce common errors such as mismatched public/private keys. Plus, the latest release can now be configured with domain templates, which dramatically reduces the effort needed to set up reseller hosting. Simple Control Panel is just $3.99/month for Virtual Dedicated Servers and $6.99/month for Dedicated Servers.

And the new cPanel add-on bundles cPanel's WHM™ (WebHost Manager), letting you administer individual accounts, reseller accounts and perform basic system and control panel maintenance via a secure interface. cPanel supports an unlimited number of domains and is available now for just $9.99/month for Virtual Dedicated Servers and $39.99/month for Dedicated Servers.

I run my own Web host (another venture altogether), and used to compete directly with GoDaddy.com. Now we are providing pretty expensive hosting, so we're not in the same league at all anymore.

Here's the scoop on GoDaddy - I just joined a startup as WebMaster (yes, I have alot on my plate!), and picked GoDaddy for the hosting. It was the first time I've used their hosting service (have always registered a good majority of my domains there), and I can say I am impressed. You have to dig through a few menus to set it up after you order the plan, and I would not rate the control panel as number 1, but I have honestly been impressed. Load times are very fast, there has been no server downtime, and there have not been any dumb technical errors with the servers (as there used to be with the company I first partnered with to offer my hosting services).

So I can recommend GoDaddy as a great choice for Web hosting. junkfile.com, you may wish to look at one of GoDaddy's more expensive hosting plans - they offer plans that give you much more than 5 GB of space for less than $20 per month.

i have a good experince with godaddy dedicated servers. Good support, takes avg. 3 hrs for email reply. For shared hosting, make sure that you dont need advanced PHP settings. Most biggies keep it basic, if you need lots of power, checkout the smaller companies.

Let's not use GoDaddy! You can use Yrhost.com or Resellerzoom.com. I think they are the best with their amazing services. Try them yourself. Also I had Resellerzoom for around 9-10 months and I only had one downfall when they had to fix something in the server. Plus they are really fast with great support. You can always get a reseller. It doesn't matter if your going to use it with only one site. You may want to open another site soon or even seperate your site in sections and let people have access to some sections in cPanel.

Godaddy is one of the few hosting companies that I have not tried. I have tried a lot of them and had been displeased with most of them.
I guess my next website will be hosted with Godaddy.
Stay tuned.

Go daddy has the cheapest rates ever. It's one of the best, if not the best hosting program out there.

The e-mail support staff pretend not to understand my questions, and they just send me some unrelated pre-written articles instead of real answers.

I'm pretty frustrated right now.
