hi,

firstly sorry if this is in the wrong place or even the wrong forum (if so can you recommend one).

My problem.

I have installed exhibit engine image gallery 1.5 rc4 onto my home server.

I have ran the ftp tests and it tells me that php ftp is all installed.

Now i don't remember installing or configuring anything to do with ftp when i first created the server. I didn't have a need for ftp as i could just copy over the files over my network.

On running the test is fails at username and password for the ftp. My question is where do i set/change/check this. I have not knowingly set a localhost ftp user and pass.

my server details are

Quote:
Server signature: Apache/2.0.55 (Win32) PHP/5.1.2 Server at www.digitalimaging-uk.co.uk Port 80
Server name: www.digitalimaging-uk.co.uk
Server protocol: HTTP/1.1
Http accept: text/xml,application/xml,application/xhtml+xml,text/html;q=0.9,text/plain;q=0.8,image/png,*/*;q=0.5
Http accept encoding: gzip,deflate
MySQL version (reported by MySQL server): 5.0.18-nt
PHP version: 5.1.2

and the initial test in EE says

Quote:
FTP

EE HAS DETERMINED THAT PHP FTP MODULE IS INSTALLED ON THIS SERVER.

FUNCTIONS: ftp_connect | ftp_login | ftp_pwd | ftp_cdup | ftp_chdir | ftp_exec | ftp_raw | ftp_mkdir | ftp_rmdir | ftp_chmod | ftp_alloc | ftp_nlist | ftp_rawlist | ftp_systype | ftp_pasv | ftp_get | ftp_fget | ftp_put | ftp_fput | ftp_size | ftp_mdtm | ftp_rename | ftp_delete | ftp_site | ftp_close | ftp_set_option | ftp_get_option | ftp_nb_fget | ftp_nb_get | ftp_nb_continue | ftp_nb_put | ftp_nb_fput | ftp_quit |

TO MAKE SURE PHP'S FTP INSTALLATION IS WORKING PLEASE DO ALL FTP TESTS ON FTP SERVER PAGE. SECURE FTP IS NOT YET SUPPORTED.
but when i run the test it says

Quote:
FTP SERVER NAME: local
FTP SERVER: localhost
CONNECTION (ftp address): OK
LOGIN (username and password): FAILED Reason: ftp_login() [function.ftp-login]: Invalid userid/password
UPLOAD TEST IMAGE 'ee_test0.jpg': FAILED Reason: ftp_put() [function.ftp-put]: connection closed
GET 'ee_test0.jpg' SIZE: OK
now it will cause i haven't supplied it with a user and pass because i don't know where oor what it is.

can anyone help. I need this ftp link working now so that i can upload and transfer images to the galleries.

thanks,

dave
