Hi, my friend and I recently started looking into some reseller plans so that we can start out own "hosting company". After viewing various reseller plans, we've come out with nothing. Nothing really seemed that appealing to us except for one host which offered some very good features, but unfortunately didn't quite offer all that we wanted.

We are looking for something good enough to start a rather small web hosting company, and as time continues, an upgrade will be available to us. We are also looking for a plan that allows you to sell domains to your customers (or even include them free as some webhosts have). If you know of any good reseller plans, please reply in this thread.

Hmm... do you guys know of any other domain resellers? We have found what hosting package we want, and where we are going to get it from. Just the domains are kinda a mystery to us.

are you meaning that you want to become a domain name reseller? if so their is Enom and Tucows that have good reseller packages. Most of these require you to pay a set-up fee.

Well, we already have the webhosting reseller part done, but we would also be needing domains too. I haven't checked on this yet, but wouldn't it be kinda illegal to buy really cheap domains from a site, and than sell them?

No that would not be illegal as long as you don't represent yourself as a reseller or a registra.

I guess that's what we will do then. By doing that, would we have to link to that domain registration site through our website in any shape or form?

To take full advantage of the eNom domain reselling capabilities, I suggest finding a resell of theirs. Although you have to fund your account with $100, the pricing on the domains goes as low as $5.95/yr for .biz if I still remember correctly.

Any good recommendation?
