Anyone use it?

Can someone explain to me how their WebStatistics calculates the hits?

For unique hits, is it only counting unique hits for that particularly DAY? Or are those hits also unique to every other day?

I know it may be a dumb question, but I'd appreciate if someone just clarify this for me. Thanks

I recommend not using them.

Look at their package. Does it say anything about uptime? It doesn't, because the uptime is horrible. Sometimes the site will be really slow, slow or a little slow. Surprisingly, their support is even worse. I'm sure you know what I mean.

I used to think that I was really well off compared to other people, but I can see now that I was wrong.

The answers above looks off topic to me.. whats happening?
Regarding unique hits, its calculated based on the time period you select, obviously. if you select a day, its going to be for that particular day. BTW, which software are you using? The free google anlytics is doing a great job for me!

Do you mean unique hits or unique visitors? I'm assuming visitors in which case it's like alemcherry said above. They'll be unique over a given time frame. If I visit your site today and then again next week that would be 2 uniques visits.

Hits are something different though. A hit is a request to the server. One page on your site can generate many hits. If you have say 20 images on a page a visit to that page will record at least 21 hits. One for the html and 20 for the images. Hits aren't a meaningful statistic.
