Take a look at PostNuke, found at http://www.postnuke.org . There are some database hoops to jump through, but it is a nice piece of coding. PostNuke is highly configurable/customizable. There is a download with over 300 themes to choose from.

Note: There is a problem with logging in, using the latest version of PostNuke. However, there is an easy fix to the code. The fix is not listed on their site, postnuke.org, and they suggest (in error) that it is a browser issue. If you need the fix, I will post it here.

A nice one I'm playing around with right now (on my local windows server) is Typo3 ( http://www.typo3.com/ ). When I first tried it, I thought it would be difficult to use... but I've got it working (granted no dynamic image support - but I didn't really want that) on IIS, and rather surprised myself.

Still playing around with it, but looking at using it to build the backend for the changes I want to make to my Petz site (BTW, there is new interest in this area as there will be a Petz 5!)...
trust that, just as I was about to replace it for a more mature Kids Cat Care site (so Petz would still feature in it)...

Quite a learning curve with it, but it looks pretty impressive, what I've seen so far... even thought a little about converting WSO to use it too - but I wouldn't want to lose my old links or rankings.

Hi exudotcom,

You could always go for the PHPNuke, which I believe, is by far the most popular CMS on the net. However, I think most people know of their glaring security glitches, and they just aren't safe. I have a few other CMS to recommend besides PostNuke. You might want to try these:

http://www.nphp.net/
http://www.drupal.org/

I hope this helps.

I have not used it yet but I've heard that the page publisher at http://www.interactivetools.com is good.

Included is the following installed scripts: OS Commerce (e-commerce program) , phpBB2 (web forum) , 4images Gallery (online Gallery) , PHPauction (auction) , PHProjekt (project management) , PHP-Nuke (content management software) , Post-Nuke (content management software) , phpLinks (links management program) , phpWebSite (content management software)

As you can see we have 3 of the most popular content management scripts. To view the scipts we have summaried them here: content management scripts

They are great for beginners Exudotcom. installation will not be your problem for any of the scripts above as they are installed by the click of a button.

Good luck
