Well I'm getting back in the web design area and want to open a site. I will be hosting text based tutorials, images, as well as video tutorials which can range up to 30mb a piece. I will be using a PHP/mySQL based backend so I need good support there. I'm really looking for a host that gives a good amount of space(for the videos and images) preferably over 1GB, and the videos really chew up bandwidth so a lot of bandwidth for that not quite sure maybe over 100GB. With my older site, I used Globat, but they had a daily bandwidth restriction of 5GB and with my video tutorials being listed on sites it got shut down quite a bit for going over that limit. I've seen SOOO many places with huge spec's like 5dothosting which has like 75gb of space and a 1TB of bandwidth or something like that, and ive read both amazing reviews and horror reviews, and basically I'm confused on who I should go with. I'd really not like to spend more than 8$ a month by purchasing a year a head. I know it's tough to find a host for that price, but any help would be much appreciated.

Have a look at Webair.com their basic plan is $9.95/mo and gives you plenty of space/data transfer + plus their support is excellent.

I haven't looked at their plans but I'm on a dedicated server with them and they're a terrific host.

If they don't have a plan that suits you, you can customize it and submit it for approval.

They're a straight-up host.
