I've just been reading about these new "Grid Servers" at TechCrunch. I wanted some impartial advice from you guys. The servers seem to be linked in some way so that they grow as your site grows, plus they have some high-profile customers like Starbucks and Nike.
The prices are incredibly low, so I wondered whether the article (here - http://www.techcrunch.com/2006/10/17...hared-hosting/) was a good reflection of the service. I've taken the whole review with a huge pinch of salt as techcrunch themselves are hosted with them ! 
Oh, the hosters are called http://www.mediatemple.net/webhosting/gs/ - I currently have a dedicated server with www.aplus.net and I'm very happy with them, however my site is reaching a critical point where the MySQL engine is being driven very hard by the forum and front page so I may need to upgrade in the future. |
