I am trying to help someone build their site. So far they have Front Page from their hosting package.. How do I edit their site?? Do I need Front Page on my PC??

Yes, most probably, it would be better if you have front page on your PC but you should be able edit their site with any html editor as long as the site doesn't contain front-page specific components. Also if your host offers a online html editor (ex: cPanel) then you can do the editing online as well.

Yes it does help cause I do have the cPanel but now I must figure out how to edit from there. I figure the file manager, but its not so simple. (sigh) but I'll get it . thanks =)

Yes, if you have FrontPage it would make your life lot easer but if you don't you can still do it via cpanel > File Manager > Html Editor. I must say that cPanel Html Editor is not that bad since it comes with many tools including preview section.

I have moved some things but that index stays there... I can load a pic(trying to put something else there besides that index) and it doesn't take the place of index.

Hmmm. I was messing around with the ERROR pages.. 500 and 403 and I then saw the HTML editor, I hit that and saw the design and preview..

To replace that page you will have to create a page called index.htm or index.html etc and upload it to the public_html directory.
