After ringing the support line 3 times, I'm still getting no joy with this!

I've got a dedicated server and Ive added a subdomain in the domain settings via my matrix control panel

www.george.mobitrade.co.uk

Support tells me everything is ok but im getting no response when trying to view the site.

Is there anything else I should be doing?

The domain name is registered away from fasthosts so could this be the problem?

Make sure your index file has this format: _index.htm

I am with fasthosts and can't complain about anything. I've had a simillar problem after creating a subdomain www.gambleon.frofi.co.uk , so I renamed the index file into the above format and it worked fine( I have no idea why ). I don't know what you want to use your sub-domain for, but let me tell you that search engines won't index it because it will appear to be a web page that uses frames.

Your mobitrade.co.uk is currently pointing to ns0&ns1.lcn.biz and I don't see any valid A records for that, are hosting mobitrade.co.uk some where else and only want to host the sub domain with fasthosts?

Worked out what was wrong,
The domain name "mobitrade.co.uk" is registered with LNC.biz so I just had to add a new host record with them.
Should have realised that!

You are most welcome I believe you are hosting the domain with lnc.biz and only pointing the SubDomain to your new server.
