I think the packages are great, even though you may want to lower down some because some people will think these are over selling, especially the look at the price.

I know a pound from a dollar.

If you are providing cPanel or DirectAdmin with unrestricted everything except space and bandwidth, these are competive.

well i would say that they look just a 'bit' cheap to me.... maybe you can raise the price of your last plan by 2-3 pounds and your first plan by a pound or 50 cents?

After showing these packages to my friends I decided to make them smaller because the packages are a bit too big so the new ones are:-

Package 1
5GB Space
20GB Bandwidth
Unlimited Features
£2 per month
£20 per annum
$4 per month*
$40 per annum*

Package 2
20GB Space
50GB Bandwidth
Unlimited Features
£6 per month
£60 per annum
$11.50 per month*
$115 per annum*

Package 3
40GB Space
100Gb Bandwidth
Unlimited Features
£12 per month
£120 per annum
$23 per month*
$230 per annum*

I know these dont look as good as the other packages but the clients I hope to get probably wont be using 900GB+ bandwidth. Thanks guys.

* These currency converters are rough estimates as of currency fluctuations changing all the time. I also added these because I noticed that there are quite a lot of people on this forum from the US so I added that for them . Thanks.

with your packages brought down in size i think your still over selling largely.

you have got a 136GB drive. so you will have roughly 90Gb Space to use for hosting accounts.

if you sold two off these accounts your server would be taken up.

Package 3
40GB Space
100Gb Bandwidth
Unlimited Features
£12 per month

giving you £24 a month profit and i bet your server is costing over £250 per month.

you need to figure out what your costs are off the server, plus any staff you have etc. and then divide the hard drive up to make enough profit.

eg.

server costs: £200 Per Month
staff costs: £50 Per Month
billing software costs: £10 Per Month

over all a total expensive off £260 Per Month

this means its costing you £3.25 Per Each gigbyte you sell.

so if you were to sell package 3 it would cost you £130 Per Month so selling at the price you stated above means you have a loss off £118

so i would recommend selling a package like

1Gb Space
15Gb Banwidth
unlimited features etc
£7.99 per month

this means selling that package 80 times and NOT OVER SELLING your server you can make £379 profit every month.

you should never over sell as it will screw you over in the long run and you will regret it.

but also note no website would ever use over 1gb off space unless theyre hosting illgeal files.

I complitely agree with scottm, you will be out of business in no time if you start with overselling like this. It will only get you in trouble with hosting crap sites and real customers geting disappointed when they don't get what they thought they would...and rather than calculating your costs (server, staff, misc) as low as possible always multiply with 1.5 at least to make sure you'll stay on the safe side.
