Does anyone know of a good free host that supports the necessary features needed by vBulletin? I cannot seem to find a host that has MySQL and PHP. No ads would be best, then banner ads, and popup ads last. Thanks!

Hi i think lycos support the vB requirements.

You can afford vB but not a cheap host?

1) vB is cheap (compared to some competitors...Infopop)

2) I am setting up a site on a paid (rather expensive) host, but would like a place to test/fool around with vB first...

There are certainly a lot of free hosts around that support PHP/MySQL. If you go to:
http://www.free-webhosting.info/searchdb.php
and check the appropriate boxes you should get a nice list. (I would give you a URL directly to the list by my host is down so I can't find out what it is )
