ok, I am trying to setup a server for my own personal use. I have 2 domains that I want hosted from the server, NOT subdomains...

I am lost on how to get things working properly. I am using a server program calle XAMMP or somthing like that. It includes Apache 2.0.48, as well as PHP, MySQL, and others. The machine itself is running Windows XP Pro.

When trying to setup virtual domains, all attempts fail...

Domain 1 - www.ctechinfo.no-ip.info

Domain 2 - www.simply-entertaining.sytes.net

And to get the domain names I am using www.no-ip.com {free version}

Any ideas??

I am not quite sure if you have a control panel or not, if yet you might need to create an account for the domain, also, have you changed the DNS settings of the domains? Oh, one more thing, does your server have an IP? lol

no control panel. This is a personal machine here at the house. The DNS for both domains are controlled from no-ip.com.....Right now I am on dialup (for a few more days). When the DSL gets hooked up I am not sure at this time about it having a static IP.

Finally got it figured out. I had to use the IP address fro the ServerName versus the domain name. Now I will just have to wait and see how things will go with the DSL...
