Ipowerweb-Offer Great Aff program and they are cheap.
$95.00 a year with marketing package. They also give a HUGE aff fee. Currently over $50. Tell me ... How in the world can they afford to do that?

I have been with them for 2 years now. Nothing really lacking. The last 2 months I had a few issues. However, they are growning and updating their servers. No real complants though and ones I have had got fixed fast.

Check them out:
www.ipowerweb.com

If you want to be a real pal hit the link on my site. If you are going to sign up .... lol

There are no affiliate nor referral links allowed. You can suggest that, if people want to help you, they can PM you for that link.

While a few ipowerweb customers seem to have had no real issues (they were lucky enough I guess), most reviews I read about them are negative. Just do a search over at webhostingtalk.com and you'll see what I'm talking about.

If you havent noticed people only start to participate in those forums when they are mad at there host. I have never had a problem with ipowerweb at all! Try doing a search for ipowerweb reviews, sure some of them might have been paid by ipowerweb but every single one is good!

Also got a question about there aff program. Do they pay you every time that person buys hosting, like he buys a year and you get $50, next year if he buys another year do you get another $50 or not?

I have to respond. I have been an Ipowerweb customer for a few years now with no complaints regarding their hosting. But their affiliate program is less than credible.

In my situation as a website designer, every referral to them through my affiliate link is verified and known by me because that's how my new site customers are signed up
for hosting. So I always know the minimum commission I should be receiving. Ipowerweb, however, tracks affiliate transactions themselves. My affiliate account reflects the transactions, but the checks are not sent out. Every period in which I was to receive a commission check from them, based on their payout schedule, the checks never arrived. I had to call their affiliate rep about it to get the check sent. There was always a different excuse. Again, same thing. I'm currently trying to find out from them why I haven't received the checks. I emailed them on the 23rd of March, 2005 .... got a confirmation email back .... no one ever responded.

So I'm concluding that this offer for affiliate sales is bogus and dishonest. This would explain how they can offer so much for the sales ... they don't pay the affiliates.

I tried there aff program and made no sales after driving so much traffic to them. I believe the problem with there aff program is that it dosent use cookies! They need to use cookies in order to recignize a visitors previously refered by an affiliate.

one time I think - unlike our reseller programs... which is even MORE generous than Ipower - yet they STILL claim to have the highest payout on the web... grr...

I now this conversation is very old. However, it still in the search engine so I thought I would add a few notes and replies.

I have been using Ipowerweb since 2000 up until the last year they have been very good, with little down time on my websites if any (FYI: I have over 30 with them. Also believe that they where just bought out by someone a year ago). However, in the last year, I have experienced several problem. First, when using or setting up any "Additional Services" plan on it taking 1-2 weeks and check back to see the services is being setup. Secondly, I have been issues with website hacking. No real damage I just have to re-upload a page. However, after changing several passwords I have not had any more problems.

Now on the affiliate program I get $100 for each account that I set up and $10 per domain I set up. I try not to uses the link because I have NEVER had any success with it tracking. So I always enter my email address as the customers. IF my customer sets the hosting up I tell them that I need them to enter my email address, to insure I get the necessary account information. Which 95% of the this works. Once I setup an account I email the affiliate@ipowerweb.com to have them added it to my account. Which I now this seems like more work, but who else pays $100 a hosting account. No reselling the service I would not make this much ... do the math ... and my client gets more for their money then if I was reselling the service to them. .... Here is something to think about I made $1,600 from them last year. However, I had some extra issues I had to deal with and it took time ... time holding... dealing with tech guys ... changing passwords. I have kinda been looking at it as they are paying me for my time, plus some. Now, if you want your money and you are not getting it... stay on top of it I personally call and check to make sure I am going to get it. I have also learned if it is not in my affiliate admin I am not getting it. So I call or email until I see it added. Also make sure they have a W-9 on file for you.

This is just a little of what I have learn about Ipowerweb in the last few year. I am still using them and have thought about changing hosting companies but few other hosting companies offer 10,000 MB of space, 2,500 emails, and free domain name for $7.95 a month. Therefor I put up with the small issues that I have and continue to use them personally and for my clients.
