Am looking to change hosts, as my current host managed to lose my site and my backups.

I want to find a host that has a watertight (well, leak-tight) backup policy. So far, all I've found are hosts that say "Up to you, guv", or words to that effect.

So, anyone offer a lead on a web hosting service that will back up my mySQL database and site? Or am I really looking for the impossible?

commonly, hoster will provide daily backup for free.
eg. hostmonster provide "Mirrored Storage Backups"

It is definitely possible to get the back-up service which you need with many hosting companies, just make sure they are good enough to support the back-up on their data base.

Hello. It is possible to get good backup service with hosting company. But if you don't trust webhosting company you can choose back up company for that. As far as I know there are a lot of companies provide that.

What is your budget and other requirements?
