Only if you can take a fish's bicycle away. The concepts of IP and subdomains aren't related.

There's no such thing as forum.192.24.398.11, although you can access specific ports, so you'd get 192.24.398.11:80. ( Those are just four random numbers, by the way; 80 is a pretty common port. )

You can also host a thousand web sites on a single IP address. The global DNS system links a domain name ( forrestcroce.com ) to an IP address ( I don't know mine off hand ) so the request can be routed, but then that server uses the domain to look up the physical path to serve from.

If you were asking for a ip for a subdomain, I'm quite positive that its positive. You can have a shared Ip. But, I won't say its a reliable method.

This can be done quite easily. If you're on a server with a control panel (cPanel / Plesk / Helm / etc), then create another account for the subdomain in question (since, in www.mydomain.com, "www" is a subdomain of "mydomain", is a subdomain of "com")

Thus, you have the account for mydomain.com, now create a new account (not an addon) for subdomain.mydomain.com, and then either purchase another dedicated IP from your host, or if you have already, just assign.

The basics behind this, if you need to know, or don't have a control panel, is that you'll create a new virtual host in /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf - and you can assign a dedicated IP to any virtual host

If you are using whm/cpanel, create a subdomain in your cpanel and assign an ip to this subdomain through whm (DNS setting). Its very easy.
