Basically i want to make a website that has photo's that when you press on them to enlarge, you have to be a registered member, or even just to acess some pages.

Q1. How do i password protect a webpage and what is CMS?

I have password protected a directory and placed a .htm page in there but it looks like this

Well, first off, if you want to protect the files in a folder, you can either use a .htacess file (google for "password protect with .htaccess") or use something with user management / sessions.

Then, for what you want to accomplish, I'd suggest using Coppermine Gallery or Gallery 2 (again, google for this), these can both do what you want todo
