Julie: I don't know if anyone else has told you this, and if they haven't I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you may be up the creek on the issue of your data.
Generally speaking, it is up to the site owner to ensure backups of his/her site unless otherwise specified and paid for (for example, I have 7-day rolling backups done on my server). In the case of iPowerWeb, they make it pretty clear on http://www.ipowerweb.com/company/leg...agreement.html , Section 3e:

Customer is solely responsible for making back-up copies of the Customer Web site and Customer Content.

In plain English, that means in all likelihood that your stuff is deleted if the situation has gone on this long.
You might be able to get some or all of it back from The Internet Wayback Machine or from various search engine caches, but if this has gone on as long as it has, I'd be inclined to doubt it.
I'm no iPowerWeb fan either. I've already had a go-around with them on behalf of my girlfriend's father (my story is in the thread you referenced), and they're some of the rudest people I've ever dealt with. So I do sympathize with you...this sucks, especially when it's something personal like baby pictures. Unfortunately, your opinion, my opinion and $5 add up to $5 in this case and you're probably screwed by the legal policy.
