I'm currently working on a fansite for Rage Against The Machine with another designer. We want new hosting *WINDOWS* due to www.webslime.com is lacking of a few things for us, especially multiple ftp accounts.

Now I'm paying somewhere between $5 - $7 currently for my hosting, it's the lowest kind, cheapest. We at the moment are looking at the H-1 package here - http://datapacket.net/windows_web_hosting.php Now if anyone can find anything better for the same price as the H-1 package and or cheaper and just as good could you give me a link. And I'd like it to not be a unknown hosting providor that no one knows of lol...

This site will be hosting lots of info like (Lots of pictures, and decent amount of videos EVENTUALLY). We also will have a big forum.

Hello. What did you mean unknown. What does it mean for you? If you are still looking for new hosting company and you haven't been able to find it yet so any other company will be new for you and unknown.

I think you can use Google for this purpose.

wow i think the servers with that host are way oversold... $5/mo for 500GB bandwidth??

Unmetered webspace, bandwidth for 10/year, I wonder how you manage to pay your server fees.

Anyway, there a lot of web hosting companies out there, start searching, and my advice is to exclude big web hosting companies from your potential solution for your hosting needs.

many pictures and large forum. definately need to look for a host that you can upgrade easily. start from shared hosting.and upgrade when needed.
i think the host gator , no contract hosting will suite your need for this. upgrade to dedi when you forum are very big

I guess there are big plans with your website and forums in the future. Don’t go with the cheap packages as those won’t be the best suited for your cause as the success of a site or a forum depends a lot on reliability and the level of service which you get.
Choose a host which is reasonable with their package price and not which is actually ‘cheap’. It doesn’t mean that if you opt for a host which is high in their prices has to be the best.

Hello. I think that you should have a look at not big and not overselling companies like www.siteocity.com or biggest companies in industry like www.hostgator.com
