The worst is even used was hostgator not for a small website but for a dedicated server. Horrible support.

The best and one I still use is Server Intellect. Their support hands down is awesome. You can call and get a tech on the phone not some answering service, I love em.

Surprising message about Hostgator here for me. I have seen they offer one of the best support options among the bihggest web hosting companies

I have been using IX Webhosting for years, and until now have been really happy with them, but now I am finding tht my site is being hacked with bad iframes - continously, even though I have cleared and checked my MAC and have constantly changed my log in, passwords, FTP log in and passwords, and anything else I could change.

They tell me it's all a problem with FTP uploading or with my computer.

Does anyone else have experience with IX Webhosting? I see a lot of comments on the internet about the hacking problem, but don't know if this is just a lot of unhappy people blaming them for their hacking problems when they shouldn't it or if they're in the same boat as I am.

Does anyone have any suggestions for a good web hosting service?

It seems people mainly post about good experience not about bad one....

Usually it's the other way around, as people are more willing to post negative experiences than positive ones.

This is what worries me - is that people in general only write letters of complaint - I have been in the travel industry for many years and those that say that they want to write about how wonderful the trip was - tend not to - those who want to complain - do!

This is why I was wondering if the letters and forum posts about IX WebHosting are just another part of that kind of trend. Perhaps the majority of folks are very happy with them - as I was until this glitsch!

So I guess, my question still remains - does anyone have experience of them - good or bad?

The best hosting is a paid host. Free hosting sometimes some features limited..
