A lot of hosts (particularly hostgator - from what I've read at least) will offer you far more in terms of resources than you need, can possibly use, and will actually be allowed to use if you try (search google for hostgator and you're bound to find some of the stories I've read).
As blue-dreamer said, virtually any hosting account should be able to cater for the needs that you've described.
I'd like to invite you to take a look at our US based Shared Plus hosting plan, or alternatively our UK based Shared Plus if you prefer.
Depending on your requirements (e.g. hosting for 5 or 10 domains), you may also want to check out the Shared Standard plans, as you can add additional domain hosting capacity to those for a small additional charge.
In terms of your SSL certs, we provide GeoTrust RapidSSL certificates (single root) for $69/£40 (valid for 12 months), but as blue-dreamer said, you can purchase a certificate from almost anywhere and install it on almost any hosting account.
