regarding awstats is there a way for me to manually inject figures? like for instance the number of hits. on real-time if it shows 500 i would like to add 1000 to make it 1500. is this possible?

If you still have the old domain you might be able to grab the logs from the old site and import them into the new one. I'm not sure if that's possible, but I would think it can be done. I hope so since I'm going to try when I move to a new domain myself.
One thing I'd say though is there's no reason to adjust the current stats. If you do then you aren't getting a real picture of what's going on and the stats become useless.
