Hello,

I am using the Microsoft office thing where they give free hosting and domains, however I need a way so I can have like a guest book on my site. I want it so I don’t have to click on other peoples website and use their sites. I want it built on my site so it can look good. Any sites that allow or offer this?

Also I don’t like how the free version only lets you use their custom templates, so is there a way I can get different hosting that allows coded websites... I need to find a free site that allows this.

Sorry for being a newb, I’m VERY new at making websites and I just wanted to make one for some fun, and hopefully have a conversation with you guys on this forum instead of doing logos.

Thanks!

Hmm i don't know what Microsoft offers in their free hosting packages but most good hosts will offer you many types of guestbook scripts that can be installed. Usually if you want to remove their link, etc.. there is a fee but some also can be modified to have a new template design, does this help?

Somewhat, however I think the word im trying to say is "Embed". I want to embed the guestbook into the website.

The problem is I have searched the site and cant find anything. I just dont want to pay outragous bucks for a domain name and hosting. Microsoft give it both for free .

So do you know how to embed a guestbook?

Free is free, so what do you want? You get what you paid for.

If your not going to help then leave. Your not "cool" getting your post count up by making a pointless post like that. You havnt even clicked on the site.

Anyways, I am using Iframe so I think I go it. If you look I added a TV, and a bunch of tools. I just need a guest book and a blog...

It's a free forum and people here have a right to express their own points of view freely. And I don't understand why are you so rude because of that post?

Hi there, sorry for the delay, but yeah we offer a few different type of guest books. One installs as a simple cgi script and the other through Fantastico. Some hosts may offer you free hosting but you'll be limited somehow. Alot of hosts too are affordable.. A bit more flexability/scalability on paid hosting.

If I remember correctly you will need to find and install an ASP Based Guest Book or ASP.NET.

I believe there hosting is all Windows servers and I believe they do not support PHP, if I remember correctly.
