Hi I have a question on topic of hosting:
Is there a way to host multiple sites with multiple domains to directories on one host.

I mean

Host with folders
dvd is one site
cd's is one site
games is one site.


and when someone types for example one domain it connects to the domain folder and shows it as it' s own url using the domain that folder is for
instead just redirecting dvd.com to game.com/dvd

If so how?

If your hosting company allows and has enabled it you can. It goes by various names. Addon domain is the cPanel name for this. Read this for a better understanding.

To add to what colbyt said, the next step, after setting up all your auxiliary domains is to make sure that all internal links point to the full domains rather than the sub-directory.

I wanna say 'yes'! There are some web hosting services allow you do that.
1st method:
You buy a plan hosting --> (in cpanel) click Add-on --> enter new domain which you wanna create (you must rename domain nameserver before to do), enter directory (domain will associate with) -> [Add]
And your services will create a directory for your domain.
2nd method:
- Create directory
- Add domain to your account
- Go to site manager -> select directory -> select domain associate with
- Finish

There are many web hosting service support this feature. You can try with two of them:
- DBPowerServe (1st method) - (Unlimited Site Host)
- One and One (2nd method) - (Limit Site Host)

Plesk based hosting does this somewhat clearer than cPanel IMO - although as others have already stated, this is an option offered by many cPanel hosts as well.

However, if you look for Plesk hosting (e.g. search google for that term etc.) then you'll find many providers offering multi-site / multi-domain hosting services all within a single hosting account.

As an example, our Shared Plus plan enables you to host up to 10 completely independent websites (i.e. each with their own folders on the server) which will be accessed via their own URL. If you want to have multiple domains pointing to a single site, you can do this via the 'aliases' feature in Plesk.

PS This isn't a Plesk vs. cPanel post before anyone misunderstands that point; I'm just offering my opinion with regards to this specific issue... if anyone wants to have the control panel discussion (yet again) then I'm sure there's another thread to do that in...

I mean using mod_rewrite

so that someip/dvd becomes dvdsiteexample.com etc
and someip/games becomes gamesiteexample.com
if any one has info please help me.

Why do you not use catch and redirect?

sound like is multiple domain in single hosting account.
erm.. sample is hostgator baby plan. unlimited number of websites.

you can do .htaccess redirection later is you need any folder redirection etc.

Go with any cpanel host with unlimited addon domain features and u can host unlimited domains on single account easily.

One of the host that offers unlimited addons is hostgator
