Hello everybody

I been looking for a plan to host my website (small busniess), but I been confuesed with hundreds of plans and companies, and every time I choose a company and read teh plan well or even try to sign up I find something I don't like, just an example wanted yesterday to sign up with doteasy and when I was doing it, they said I should pat almost 7$ every month for antispam and anti virus, I don't get it. and to register the domain name with them is 25$. at least doteasy no hidden fees, but no money back and yearly payment!!!
I read for few other companies there is always hidden fees and other things I don't like. So I found myself could not decide.

What I am looking for is at least 500Mb storage and 1gb data transfert, SSL, php and mysql, and shopping cart support( zen cart exactly). also monthly payment ( I will pay yearly only after trying the server)

If there is a respectful company that offer what I just mentioned please guys help me with that I would appreciatte your help.

Thank you and kind regards

Anir

Anir,

I could easily offer you this plan for $7.95/mo, which would include 5GB storage and 150GB bandwidth. We also support/manage your site 100%. I would be even happy to give you your first month free just so your happy with the services. There are no other fees, ever...

Before you accept Ryan's kind offer, you may wish to consider our Shared Mini plan from $4.95/month ($6.95/month for monthly payments). It sounds like it may be closer match to your requirements.

We've been in the business of providing reliable hosting services for 6 years, and believe in being totally up-front about all of our charges. Whilst I must confess that we don't currently list domain registration pricing, I'd like to state the obvious which is that you don't have to register a domain with your webhost. However, our domain registration fees are competitive at $8.95/year for most domains (domain registered in your own name, and no "release" fees should you ever wish to transfer elsewhere).

We have many happy customers using zen cart on our servers, so I'm sure you'll not have any problems with that. Given that you're looking for hosting for an ecommerce site I'm sure you'll enjoy the performance and reliability that our service offers.

webhostingbuzz.com shared hosting plan will suit your needs.
Also look at the ahosting.biz shared hosting plans.

I haven't found anything about shopping cart support in the ahosting.biz shared plans, though they have the rest of features the OP has requested for,
webhostingbuzz.com provides Zen Cart, OS Commerce, Cube cart and even Agora. Both companies have monthly payment. I'd look for thу coupons for their services and tried them for free, later deciding on one of these.

You're overlooking the fact that a host doesn't need to explictly "support" a software application for it to run on their hosting plans!

All that you need for Zen Cart is detailed here: http://www.zen-cart.com/wiki/index.php/Installation

Basically any hosting service offering PHP 4.3.2 + (should be all PHP hosts?), and MySQL 3.2+ (again should be all MySQL hosts?).

The only potential stumbling block may be if some hosts won't disable PHP safe mode for you - although all this takes is a simple pre-sales email to find that out...

So any shared hosting plan should fit the bill - there are more details of requirements/recommendations on the above link, and it should be simple to ask any potential provider whether they meet all of the requirements/recommendations (e.g. PHP as Apache module rather than CGI).

However, if that's too much like hard work, there's also a limited number of "certified" Zen providers here: http://www.zen-cart.com/index.php?ma...es&pages_id=10

I'm not a host, Anir, so I've got no vested interest in any recommendation I make.

1) Never register a domain name through your web host. Keep your registrar and your host separate. That way, if you ever need to cancel your service, the domain can't be jacked.

2) There's no need to pay for anti-spam or anti-virus from a web host. A smart web host will include that anyway, since it keeps traffic of an illegitimate nature off of the web host's network.

3) I don't know if they offer Zen Cart (I build my own carts), but try www.sectorlink.com . They're not the cheapest, but they are the best host available (my dedicated box is with them). I've been using them 5 years.

If it's not listed on their regular plans, they do offer a custom hosting plan...basically you build it, you price it, and if they're okay with it they approve it. No harm in asking, right?
