Yep, I agree that you're definitely best advised to avoid "unlimited" whatever - but bandwidth/space are the big ones.
Generally speaking you get best value taking one big hosting plan rather than 2 smaller ones, so I'm not sure what you would gain by taking a second plan somewhere instead of upgrading (with your existing provider or otherwise) to a single plan that would suit your needs.
cabron's suggestion of considering a VPS/dedi is probably not a bad idea, but it's a little difficult to say at this stage without knowing how your usage is atm.
Just keep in mind that the old adage "if it looks too good to be true, it probably is" couldn't be more applicable than in hosting; "you get what you pay for" and all that...
Often companies offering massive allocations at low prices are either offering a poor service (connectivity, reliability, support etc.) or are overselling their servers - which ultimately leads to poor service
A final thing you should consider (if you do opt for 2 concurrent hosting plans) is that you would want to ensure equally good connectivity for your users for each part of your site - obviously no benefit in having part of it load quickly/reliably and the other part not. I would therefore suggest that hosting in the same country (and perhaps even same datacentre) would be the best way to ensure this.
