Anyone know of a good web host based in the UK?
Cheapish would be nice but reliability and good support a must.
I know there are thousands out there but I would appreciate if I could get a recommendation from someone.

I honestly do not know of any servers that are phisically located within the UK. I know of a few companies that are based out of the UK but the servers are in the US.

Do you need a server that is actually located in the UK? Most of the time you are going to pay more for service in the UK and you will not usually get ping times that are that much quicker to really be able to tell.

To be honest the location of the servers isnt too important to me, though I guess having that based in the UK would only help.
I definatly do not want to have to rely on emails or calling abroad to get support. This is my main concern.

www.web-mania.com is UK based and they are very cheap.

If you want a web host that is physically based in the UK you can try www.vastnet.co.uk, they are a proper Telehouse based operation.

Vastnet is not particularly cheap but they are not expensive if you take into consideration that they are one of the best hosts around.
