I've found that hosts that allow adult content often have better deals than hosts who advertize themselves as adult hosts. I have a reseller account at Livin4.com and have been pretty pleased with them.

Honestly, you should check out some of the adult webmaster forums for some good recommenations and advice. I'll send you a PM with a few good URLs.

Maybe try dh2.net, as (from memory) I don't think they have any problem with adult content, as long as it's not illegal.

I have found this true as well. It seems if a hosting company is targeting adult sites their fees are usually higher. We do allow adult content.

Alot of regular web hosts do allow adult content. But if you plan on doing a full out porn website, Most of them ay not be the wise choice. One reason alot of adult centered web hosts are higher is because they have delt with the problem that arises. The massive ammounts of traffic can slow down a server that is not prepared for it. Reasons could be because of a slow backdone or a old/slower server. Either way, when you get hosting alot of adult content websites your server load will go up.

I would research adult hosts and regular hosts equally to find the best. And yes I will add, We do adult hosting, We have adult hosting packages. Please do your research first before choosing your host for your client.

I formerly recommended Compuwebhosting to this user... but I hope no one used them and signed up. After a year hosting with them I was flooded by spammers on a blog I was hosting on one of my sites. They simply banned my account with absolutely no warning or any attempt to inform me of what the problem was. I had to contact customer support who said .."You are using too much of the server's resources. You need to find another host. We will activate you account for 30 minutes so you can get your files." Mind you this was in an email response and of course I didn't receive it within 30 minutes. They never explained much aside from the server resources issue and when I checked my statitistics from the days prior I had only used about 4 Gigs of transfer and my plan alotted 50. When I told them this was unfair and false advertising they replied "Your files have been deleted already" and then charged me for the next month's hosting which wasn't to start until the day AFTER they blocked my account. I only learned what was causing the problem when I signed up with my new host and started noticing thousands of spam sites trying to flood my blog with referer and comment spam. I solved the problem in about 6 hours with few additions to my htaccess file and could have done this before if CWH had given me time to look around in my account and find the reason it was happening. I didn't pursue the matter, but I learned a valuable lesson. Well several really...
1. Do not use Compuwebhosting... ever.
2. Always back up your site files and databases regularly and keep a local copy.
3. If you are using a shared host that offers really high transfer for a super cheap price... chances are they are overcrowding the server and won't really care about losing you as a customer.
4. TOS and Policy Agreements don't mean squat unless YOU are the one in violation. There is always a "We can do whatever we want at any time and you can not hold us responsible" clause in the agreement that they will throw in your face when they shaft you.

I switched to another shared host but I have started downloading my files and DB's every couple of days.
