Well me and another designer had a fan site for a band going, did very well for its 4-6 month period, even got talked about by MTV...well the other design dipped on me. After me sending mass emails he finally replies telling me he can't help anymore and cancells the hosting and gives me backups of site/forums.

I'm looking for a Windows hosting plan that allows for MySQL or SQL databases, and obviously allows phpbb forums.

Post links to good/trusted one's please, I'll look at links for prices, don't have price range at the moment.

godaddy hosting... is not recommended. Their support is slow and always reply with template, that always blame problem at my side. I been using more than 10 hosting plan now, and GD will be in my ignore list :P

windows hosting, look for ixwebhosting windows plan, startlogic or lunarpages.

Umm... if you're using phpbb forums why do you need Windows hosting? Do you have some other things using ASP / ASP.NET?

phpbb runs perfectly well on Linux/Unix based servers. In fact, I'm pretty sure it was written on that sort of platform. Plus, go in a Linux hosting direction, and you'll save yourself a lot of money, as your Windows hosting /month goes towards the hosts costly license fees and stuff when they set it up!
Unless there's a specific requirement for Windows, like damien mentioned, I'd consider a switch.

I have to agree. With a Linux box you would have access to tons of free apps including many free CMS apps.

Wow! You must be using a lot of bandwidth to have a hosting site say "it can't help you anymore". How much bandwidth will your site would be requiring? Maybe we can help you out

If you can use Linux hosting, that would be the way to go. Lots of goodies for it and much easier to me to work with.

But Webhostingbuzz.com provides only Linux web hosting, not Windows. Am I right?

If your main thing is phpBB, there are alot more alternatives out there if you don't stick with Windows. There are 70% more Linux providers than Windows providers.

Content managers like Joomla make it easy for you to add content on the fly for your website.
