I want to block this IP range
41.219.192.0 - 41.219.255.255 but using the notation

deny from x.x.x.x./xx

to use in htaccess. How could I do that?

order allow,deny
deny from 123.45.6.7
deny from 012.34.5.
allow from all

The first one block the specific IP. The second one blocks all the addresses that start with deny from 012.34.5.

so

deny from 012.34.5.1
deny from 012.34.5.2
deny from 012.34.5.3
deny from 012.34.5.4

etc

I think you're asking what the CIDR notation is for that IP range? If so, try using this calculator

I think the answer you're looking for is 41.219.192.0/18

Hello,

If you use Cpanel, I would go about blocking the IP's you want there.

It's much easier and quicker than a .htaccess file and can work just as effectively.

Agree, to block IPs in Cpanel is much easier than using .htaccess

1. Log into your Cpanel account.
2. Under "Site Management", go to Ip Deny Manager.
3. Under "Add an IP Deny:" enter in the IP address you wish to block.
4. Click "Add".
