Web Hosting Offers and Requests

Ok the company I'm hosting with, netlinkinfo.com, has changed all my domain name information, contact, email, etc, to their information save for 1 domain which still has my old info, and another that has the previous owners info now. When trying to contact them they have for the last 5 days ignored all of my emails, I called on them repeatedly but they blocked my calls now(their toll free number doesn't accept calls from my area anymore). They post no local number. I've contacted their upstream provider theplanet.com about this but I haven't heard anything back yet. What would you say I can do or should do from here?

You just learned a hard lesson...why you should never register a domain name through your web host. This is exactly the kind of thing that can happen.

ThePlanet.com won't help you either, since it's a domain registration issue.

You may get help from either the root registrar that your host uses (likely one of eNom, Tucows, or GoDaddy) or ICANN in that order.

Adam's right - don't purchase domains through hosts unless you have to. I currently don't offer domain registration but if I did, I'd still say the same thing.

By domains elsewhere - that way, you have far more control over it and your hosting company can't tell you what to do or seize it for their own gains.
