Neopages was considered the best free hosting service available on the internet (and they were). Their SQL server crashed.
Well guess what? They still are the best hosting on the net and if you put forth a half an effort to participating in the forums with the community you can get hosting.

How do you define best free hosting service? In my opinion, each webhost is built to cater for different needs. Thus, it depends on how well a webhost suit your needs. There's no definite best. Furthermore, I haven't hear of Neopages before after being in the industry for 2 years.

neopages, was great but their application procedure was difficult to get into.
