What is the general view on the company www.fasthosts.co.uk Fasthosts international, any views?

Is it necessary for a UK site to use a UK-based host? Shouldn't it be possible to use hosts anywhere in the world? Are there good hosts based in India that anyone can use, or does ICANN or some other governing body require keeping you in your own country?

Fasthosts is a good company, you should be OK going with them.

As far as using a hosting company based in the country you live in, I don't there is any reason why you would need to do that. Using a host from your own country just tends to be a bit easier in terms of support hours, currency and network speed.

Fasthosts is UK based, they're in Gloucester.

Some people do have problems with them, others seem happy. Surf a few hosting forums to see what people are saying.
