404 Display mystery...

Well, a mystery for me anyways...

I run the site www.tahoecabinrentals.com

This is something that has bothered me for awhile now, so I am asking for some advice.

Essentially, I notice 2 "modes" if you will, of 404 error page displays.
One mode, the 404 will display properly.
The other mode, the text will display, but NOT the images/graphics.

Ex: If you click this link, it (should) display improperly, without graphics/images. (At least that is the way I see it - or don't see it) ;-)
http://www.tahoecabinrentals.com/garbage/

But if you load the main site http://www.tahoecabinrentals.com/

-THEN- type something after the / you should see the 404 page load properly, with all images/graphics.

Any ideas?

(Moderator, feel free to move this post, as I am not sure if this is the best place for this post.)

Thanks!

You need to find out where the 404 is set up to go on the web server.

Well, you problem is that you first version is interpreted as a subdirectory; so it's looking for the graphics/images as if in a subdirectory. There is no obvious way round this as you obviously can't recreate special subdirectory 404 rules for every subdirectory anyone might type in, so you either live with it or there might be a way of manipulating .htaccess to cover this, but I don't know.

EDIT: Sorry LNR! I just noticed you posted before I got round to finishing typing this.
