okay i own a vbulletin forum 3.6.7 version

but for some reason my search type option doesn't work :S as it brings me up with an option of yes and no for full search or something else and then another option of yes and no for removing indexes or something or other and any combination does not work

i have even tried submitting the query to the db itself manually but still no luck there either :S as it comes up with an error

this meaning i cannot search the db for my announcement i made ages ago that now needs changing

i was wondering if anyone knew were abouts i could change the announcement from

by announcement i mean the part that says welcome etc etc at the top of my site not the announcement that is in each forum

Did you enable the fulltext index on the MySQL side? I don't know how to do it but I know VB relies on that if you use the MySQL search.

BTW, if you are using the internal announcements system in VB, I'm not sure those show up in search since they are not actually posts. If you mean actual posts you made to a forum called "Announcements" that is a different matter.
