We are currently moving several hundred sites over to a new datacenter and server, which is using IIS + Plesk and we hit a problem with Horde.
The issue is that, after logging on to the webmail interface Internet Explorer (5.5, 6 and 7) presents the user with a totally blank screen, all other browsers we tested work perfectly Ok.
After a couple of days of head scratching plus a reimage and restore and we thought we had narrowed it down to a security/permissions problem in IE.
Not so!
It actually turns out to be a permissions problem on the server!
The answer is to locate the horde db folder
drive:\Inetpub\vhosts\webmail\horde\db (or similar)
The Fix:
Change the permissions to allow the Plesk users and IIS_USR user to have Write access to the folder and files. The default is Read, List Contents and Read & Execute.
Quite why this was a problem with IE clients only is still a mystery.
