As I understand it, if Googlebot finds many sites interlinking within the same IP block (ie. many sites within the same hosting company) it assumes this is spam and removes their PageRank and/or stops indexing them.
Does anyone know how many sites are we talking about here? Tens, hundreds or thousands?
//edit: Let me clarify, I have no intention of doing anything bad. I just have lots of disk and bandwidth space on one host and would rather keep everything in one place. However, if this isn't beneficial, then maybe I need to host somewhere else too.
