Well my site which I have just been using for testing purposes has been hacked recently. vgcorner.com. I'm not frustrated about it because i have my most important stuff i need on my thumb drive and on my PC in New York (currently in Indiana right now but my thumb drive is with me). I haven't had a website hacked before so how should I go about dealing with this? The guy seems to have left his MSN Messenger email on the page and his website url. What should I do to get rid of the hacker and screw him over?
First thing that pops into my mind would be: what did you have running on the site? Was it the current version? I always try to check to make sure I'm running the most uptodate CMS or whatever software I have on the site. Maybe start with some googling on any security-fixes for your software?
I'm glad that you have your necessary files - so that's not an issue. Let us know how things progress!

It was my own created php code and was a gaming website. My cPanel has the same exact hacking page on it too so I'm starting to think it was more of a server hack. I guess that's what happens when you go for a $10/year host, but I just used it for just testing some code and layouts and to store some files for the hell of it. I'll be switching to Bluehost soon, I just hope they have a more secure server.
Their main site I think is on a different server. They're pretty crappy though, horrible uptime, when it is up it runs slow most of the time, and I guess now, they're pretty insecure.
Well switching servers shouldn't be the only solution. You should also track the hacker and shoot him in the head, jk. Do a who is on his site and get his site suspended. That's what I did.
