I'm going to offer up some hosting for whoever wants it.
I run a server right now in a data center that is backed by multiple OC lines (I can provide the pipes if need be). I'm willing to run a deal for the first 6 people that have interest in hosting on a reliable server. It's not dedicated but is quick. Here is what you'd get:
- AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 3200+
- 5Gb's of hard drive space (the first six will benefit from an upgrade)
- 1Gb of RAM total (the first six will benefit from an upgrade)
- Cpanel
- 5 e-mail addresses to start with (spam controls)
- Your domain name (will be configured for you)
- unlimited sub-domain names
- FTP access
- Full support from me (I'm a linux admin)
- SSH access (for those qualified)
- .htaccess control
- Frontpage 2002 extensions (if needed)
- Mail forwarding
- Mailing lists
- POP3 + Webmail
- Daily backups
- mySql Database
- Site statistics (include analog, webalizer, awstats, subdomain stats, banwidth, error log, etc)
- Leech Protect, Image Manager, SSL manager, Agora shopping cart, etc.
- You can e-mail me at any time for any support issues.
That I can provide for $75 a month. Special requests will be considered upon request. If enough people request this I will setup extra servers and load balancing at the data center.
I will also provide custom installation of things like PHP modules, Pearl modules ($5 each), WordPress, VBulletin, etc, etc for $25 a script for those not comfortable to do it themselves.
I will also monitor all the first 6 sites on this host for performance to make sure you are getting what you paid for.
At any time you can cancel your hosting if you are not satisfied, although this has to be done before the next billing cycle and the current billing cycle will be completed. Any scripting or installation services I have provided on this host, if the hosting is canceled I will do for free on your next host.
If a site generates too much traffic and is going to cause lower traffic generating sites problems then they will be moved to a new server and extra charges will be billed (mainly because it will be more dedicated than the last). I'm not going to stack a bunch of people on to one single server like most hosting companies do because I believe that the future is more important than today and expandability and extensibility is a big issue. This is mainly for the lower traffic sites looking for hosting provided by someone who is dedicated to satisfaction and HATES, absolutely HATES slow loading sites.
