Just read Lee's article on the top ten tools and I did the server speed test.
It took my forums 2.25 seconds to load. Most of sites I compete with clocked in at about .8 seconds.
I have a VPS from Rackforce.com. They have unmeterd bandwidth, meaning they do not cap your monthly usage, but I am limited to a 1.5mbps connection speed.
To upgrade to 3mbps would literally double my costs (to about $160/mo), which would wipe out 75% of the net profits I'm making.
My question is, is it slow for you guys?
Is this really hurting me?
If so, I think I need to start looking for another host. |
