My site currently can be accessed by www.fightfair.net/modx , however, I'd prefer to have it as just www.fightfair.net. I have tried looking up how to do it through cpanel. Everyone says edit ur .htaccess file but when I click on it and hit edit a blank file comes up and I know for sure its not blank. What do I do?
O and my host isn't available til Sun night.

Could you not just move your files up a level, via FTP?

Your website is in a folder called modex, you need to move these files out of the folder and straight into your public_html folder
