Which software do you use for the website stats? And what should i do to block country users?

I'm not using a software but rather tools such as googleanalytics, awstat and statcounter..

+1 awstats and analytics. re analytics, if you have legal issues with storing statistics with a 3rd-party, you can purchase Urchin and run it on your own server (Urchin was bought out by google and became Analytics for public use). http://www.google.com/urchin

A very nice, but much simpler statistics software is Mint: http://www.haveamint.com

I prefer awstats for server-side analysis, it's quite power and uses a lot less resources than webalizer.

I use Funnel Web Analyzer for some sites that are not running Google Analytics.

I use awstat with the cPanel in the Hosting.
And I use Extreme i my blog because it is easy to setup.

Statcounter and the cms I use has some extensions for stats as well. Funny how no-one here only uses one stats program(including me). No program is apparently sufficient on his own.

I never ban whole countries, just specific IPs or IP blocks. And even those are usually temporary.

What countries are you looking to ban and why?

Also, a combination of JAWStats and Google Analytics for me.
